The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on November 25th at 10:00 pm Sheriff Deputies investigated a one car personal injury motor vehicle accident and the intersection of State Route 414 and Leader Rd in the Town of Fayette. A Vehicle being operated by Stanley D Weiler, age 17 of 4218 St Rt 89 Seneca Falls, was southbound on Route 414 and attempted to make a left turn onto Leader Rd when the vehicle left the roadway striking a ditch. Passengers in the vehicle included Delbert A Hoover age 17 of 3005 Noble Rd Seneca Falls, Alvin M Snyder age 17 of 8463 E Loop Rd Port Byron, Eli C Horst age 21 of 14154 Savannah Spring Lake Rd Savannah, and Delmar J Reiff age 17 of 1131 Sherwood Rd Aurora.Reiff sustained a minor head injury and was transported to Geneva General Hospital by North Seneca Ambulance. There were no other injuries reported.The vehicle sustained heavy damage and needed to be towed from the scene. Weiler was issued a citation for failure to reduce speed. Assisting at the scene was the Fayette Fire Dept.
