Yates County Sherrif’s observed an occupied vehicle parked at a business on Rt. 14 in the town of Starkey that was closed at the time. While investigating the occupants, it was discovered that 18 year old Carlos Gonzalez Palomares of Geneva is in the country illegally.Mr. Palomares was arrested and after being held at the Yates County Public Safety Building, was turned over to US Customs and Immigration Enforcement Officials.The other two occupants of the vehicle were determined to be in the county legally and were released at the scene.
