Fire on Mill Street in Waterloo earlier this week

On Monday, November 19, 2012 at about 12:45 p.m., members of the Waterloo Police Department and the Waterloo Volunteer Fire Department were dispatched to 60 Mill Street for the reported structure fire.Upon arrival with members of the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, officers were able to extinguish the fire which was burning in the attached garage area of the residence.Members of the W.V.F.D., assisted by members of the Border City Fire Department did complete overhaul work to ensure that the fire was completely extinguished.Members of the Seneca County Fire Investigation Team arrived to investigate the cause the the fire. At this time the investigation continues and a cause has yet to be determined.Also assisting at the scene were members of North Seneca Ambulance, the Seneca Falls Fire Department, the Fayette Fire Department, and the Seneca County Codes Department. Geneva Fire Department also stood by at their station for B.C.F.D.The home which is owned by Arlene L. Weeks is insured and no one was injured as a result of the fire.
