Seneca County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Shemariah L. Owens, age 22 of 519 East Road Savannah, NY for two Class E felony’s. Owens was arrested on November 8th 2012 at the Law Enforcement Center at 1:40 pm. Owens, who is a level three sex offender, was charged with one count of Failing to change address and one count of offering a false instrument for filing 1st. It is alleged that Owens had moved to the East Road address in July 2012 from an address in Johnston City NY and had not filed an address change with New York State. The offering a false instrument for filing charge stems from Owens filing a yearly address verification with New York State in October stating that he still lived at the Johnston City address. Owens was released with appearance tickets and is to appear in Town of Tyre court on November 28th 2012 at 7:00 pm to answer the charges.
