Canandaigua teacher accused of sex with student

A Canandaigua Academy teacher is facing charges for allegedly having sexual contact with a 16-year-old student.Canandaigua Police say Lisa Footer, age 44 and a teacher at Canandaigua Academy, is accused of sexual contact with a 16-year-old student in a parking lot on South Main Street in Canandaigua on Saturday.Police also believe that Footer has had an on-going relationship with the teen for the past several months. They do not believe that any sexual activity occurred on school grounds.Lisa Footer is officially charged with sex abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a child. She remains in the Ontario County Jail on $5,000 bond. Investigators say more charges are pending.According to her Facebook profile, Lisa Footer is married with two sons, one who recently celebrated his 15th birthday and lives in Manchester. The Canandaigua School District has placed her on administrative leave and she is barred from being on school grounds.
