On early Sunday morning, Penn Yan Police arrested Cody Allen Hoke, age 22, of Penn Yan after he was observed fighting on East Elm Street in the Village.Officers intervened in the altercation and attempted to place Hoke under arrest. Hoke physically resisted and pushed an officer. He was then subdued by taser and placed into custody.Hoke was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest and was arraigned in Village Court on those charges. Hoke was remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of bail and will reappear in Village Court at a later date.
