Two arrested after foot chase in Waterloo

10-28-12 Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies stopped a vehicle on N. Walnut St. in the Village of Waterloo. While deputies were approaching the vehicle, a passenger, Jordan P. Yells, age 21, of 408 West Main St, Waterloo, NY exited the vehicle and fled on foot and led the deputies on a brief foot chase down Main St. Deputies located Yells behind a residence where he was detained pending an investigation into the incident.A Seneca County Sheriff’s Narcotics Detector Canine searched the vehicle and located a quantity of marihuana. The driver of the vehicle, Robert D. Stevens, age 20, of 38 Center St. was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. Deputies also searched the area where Yells was located and discovered a second quantity of marihuana. Yells was also charged with Unlawful Possession of Marihuana.Both Yells and Stevens are scheduled to appear at the Village of Waterloo Court on 11/28/2012 at 9:00AM. Deputies wer e assisted at the scene by the Waterloo Police Department and the Seneca Falls Police Department.
