ER/Gananda’s defense dominated play at a rainy Sahlen’s Stadium on route to a 27-0 shutout of Newark in the Section V Class B title game on Saturday.Newark’s QB Phil Tack was held in check going just 2-7 passing for 15 yards. Tack gained just 44 yards on 14 carries.ER/Gananda was led yet again by their outstanding tailback Chris Folu-Montes who gained 110 yards on 22 carries and scored twice. Zach Hauser was 6 for 12 passing for 76 yards and two touchdowns, One of those touchdown passes went to Austin Peterson and the other to Nate Teeter.ER/Gananda stands at 8-1 on the season while Newark’s campaign ends at 6-3.
