Ithaca Police Officers were removing a disorderly concert goer last night when things got out of hand. 23 year-old David Wells of Trumansburg was being removed from the State Theater of Ithaca during a sold out concert. When officers tried to take him into custody, he started to attack officers. A woman who left the theater with Wiles tried to stop officers from arresting Wiles.In a drastic turn of events, Wiles grabbed a Taser from one of the Officers and wouldn’t let go. After a struggle, Wiles was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Criminal Possession of a Weapon and Assault.Three officers were injured in the struggle. Two of the officers were treated at Cayuga Medical Center. Both officers are expected to make a full recovery and return to work shortly. Wiles is being held by city police pending arraignment. His female companion, Juliet Halloran of Ithaca, was initially charged with resisting arrest and released on her own recognizance..
