Terrance W. Coleman, 24, of Hilton, NY was arrested by Penn Yan Police late Tuesday night after a traffic stop in the Village.The vehicle Coleman was operating was observed traveling at 72 mph on Liberty Street and was stopped near the hospital.Coleman was observed to have bloodshot, glassy eyes, impaired motor coordination and the odor of alcohol on his person. He was placed through a series of sobriety tests which he did fail.Coleman was placed under arrest and transported to the Yates County Jail where a chemical analysis of his breath revealed a .11% BAC. It was also discovered that Coleman’s NYS Driver’s License had seven suspensions for failure to answer summons in various jurisdictions.Coleman was charged with Speed in Zone, DWI, DWI .08% or greater and aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd. Coleman was further charged with felony aggravated unlicensed operation 1st due to the present DWI charge while operating on a suspended license.Coleman was held pending arraignment in Penn Yan Village Court.
