Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on 10-19-12 at 2:27 pm Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a car pedestrian accident at 2202 State Route 96 (Fastrac) in the Village of Ovid, NY.Jane D. Stephany age 76 of Romulus was pulling into a parking space at the Fastrac when her foot slipped off of the brake and onto the accelerator causing the car to drive over the curb and struck Margaret E. Thomas age 40 of Ovid, pinning Thomas against a Red Box DVD rental machine.Thomas sustained injury to her left knee and was transported to Geneva General Hospital by South Seneca Ambulance. The Red Box Machine was destroyed from the impact. Ovid Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
