The Seneca Falls Police Department is dedicated to providing the community and its visitors a safe environment this halloween season. To help insure the safety of our children, the Seneca Falls Police Department will be hosting a Community Sex Offender Awareness Meeting on Monday October 29th, 2012 at 6pm at the Seneca Falls Community Center located at 35 Water Street, Seneca Falls, NY.The event will be hosted by Chief Stuart W. Peenstra and the departments Sex Offender Registry Coordinator Officer Michael C. Poole. Topics will include Myths and Facts regarding Registered Sex Offenders, differences in Classification Levels and public resources regarding the Sex Offender Registry Act. The Seneca Falls Police Department is strongly urging everyone in the community to attend this meeting to become better educated on how the state and local sex offender laws can be applied and find out who and where some of the sex offenders reside in our community.
