Silent Auction to Benefit Pal-Mac Choir

On Thursday, November 1st, 2012, the Pal-Mac Select Choir Parent Boosters will be holding a Silent Auction to benefit the Choir’s planned spring 2013 Tour of England, Scotland & Wales. The auction will be outside of the High School Cafeteria beginning at 2:30 PM and finishing at 7:30 PM before the District Choral Concert. For a trip like this to be possible, it is the Parent Booster’s goal to provide a portion of the funding for each choir member.Some of the many great items available for bidding on include: Geva Theater Tickets, Pies, Hot Air Balloon Ride, Baked Goods, Guitar, Books, Hair Products, Drum Set, Decorative Trunk, Automotive Services, Restaurant Gift Cards, Spa Kit, Framed Prints, Gift Certificates, Original Art, Gift Baskets, Mackenzie’s Gift Basket, Vera Bradley purses, etc.. A host of other great items will be available, too! What a great way to get some great products and services and help the choir at the same time. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and flowers available for your favorite singer. Payment is expected that evening by the end of the concert by either cash or check. Beginning at 7:30 PM in the Palmyra- Macedon High School Gymnasium will be the annual District Choral Concert. This concert features Con Brio, 7th Grade Chorus, and 8th Grade Chorus under the direction of Douglas Blackall, and the High School Chorus and the Select Choir under the direction of Jill Davis. Each group will perform several pieces and they will also perform a combined number. The concert is free and open to the public.The Pal-Mac Select Choir has a long history of excellence including repeated “Gold with Distinction” awards at the NYSSMA Vocal Festival. Besides their regular school concerts, the Choir also presents its Madrigal Dinner (tickets are on sale now!) each December and performs at many community events throughout the year.
