Mynderse and South Seneca were set to meet on the gridiron in Ovid on Saturday night for South Seneca’s homecoming game. The game was cancelled late Friday, however, due to a lack of enough student-athletes available for the Falcons to field a team. This was to be the regular season finale for both teams. Mynderse now finishes the season at 5-2 while South Seneca’s campaign ends at 0-6.This was the second time in as many years that the Mynderse varsity football team was awarded a win on a forfeit. In 2011 the Blue Devils were defeated by DeSales but later awarded a win due to ineligible players on the Saints’ roster.
