Exit 39 (Syracuse, Fulton) of the New York State Thruway will remain open during reconstruction activities on connecting ramps at I-690, the Thruway Authority announced.Posted detour signs will re-direct motorists who approach Exit 39 from westbound I-690, and who depart from Exit 39 toward westbound NY Route 690.The reconstruction work on I-690 ramps is under the direction of the New York State Department of Transportation. It is scheduled to begin Wednesday, October 10, and continue through mid-November, weather permitting.Traffic from westbound I-690 wishing to access the Thruway will be directed to continue along NY Route 690 to the NY Route 370 exit, turn around in the interchange and return on eastbound NY Route 690 to Thruway Exit 39. Traffic from Thruway Exit 39 wishing to travel westbound on NY Route 690 will have to exit onto eastbound I-690, get off at Jones Road, turn right at end of ramp, then left onto the ramp to NY Route 690.
