Seneca County Sheriff’s Officer reports that on Wednesday morning at 7:29 am deputies investigated a one car personal injury accident in the area of 4959 Route 414 in the Town of Varick.The driver of the vehicle, Ashley N. Harrell, age 23 of Seneca Falls was driving a vehicle owned by Shawn E. Bates of Phelps that was northbound on Rt. 414 when she fell asleep behind the wheel and went off of the road on the east side of the roadway causing the vehicle to overturn several times.Harrell was ejected from the vehicle. Harrell was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital by Mercy Flight with lower body injuries. South Seneca Ambulance and Fayette Fire Dept. assisted at the scene.
