Sheriff David Gould reports that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office investigated a one car motor vehicle accident on Wednesday, September 26th at about 07:46 am on Rockefeller Road south of State Route 38A in the Town of Owasco.Colin D Kalabanka (age 17, E Lake Road, Auburn) was operating a 2003 Honda suburban and had just picked up a passenger when he passed an uninvolved motor vehicle and lost control striking a tree. According to witnesses, speed and unsafe passing appear to be contributing factors. The occupants were en route to Auburn High School. Investigation is continuing. Vehicle was also occupied by:Mitchell Feocco (age 17, Rockefeller Rd, Auburn)Natalie Herlihy (age 19, Denman Cove Rd, Auburn)Robert Reynolds (age 16, Rockefeller Rd, Auburn)Mr. Kalabanka and Mr. Reynolds were transported by ambulance to Upstate University Hospital. Mr. Feocco and Ms. Herlihy were transported by ambulance to Auburn Community Hospital. Injuries do not appear to be life threatening.Assisting were Cayuga County 911, Owasco Fire Department, Owasco Ambulance, Fleming Ambulance, Rural Metro Ambulance, TLC Ambulance, Cayuga County Emergency Management Office
