The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 34 year old Tony M. Edwards of Waterloo. Investigators charged Edwards with two counts of criminal sexual act in the first degree (class B felony), two counts of sexual abuse in the first degree (class D felony) and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.The charges stem from a joint investigation between the Sheriff’s Office and Seneca Co. Child Protective Services. It is alleged that Edwards had sexual contact with an eight year old girl in the Town of Waterloo.Edwards was arraigned in the Town of Waterloo Court where he was released on his own recognizance and an order of protection was issued. Edwards is to re- appear in the Waterloo Town Court on Oct. 11 to answer the charges.
