Sheriff David Gould reports that on late Friday afternoon the Cayuga County E911 Center received a report of a personal injury accident involving an all terrain vehicle on Cork Street in the Town of Scipio. 56 year old John Czornig of Cork Street in the Town of Scipio was riding his ATV South on Cork Street and was turning into his own driveway when he was ejected from the vehicle sustaining fatal injuries. Czornig was assisted by passers‐by prior to the arrival of emergency responders. Czornig was transported to Auburn Community Hospital by Southern Cayuga Ambulance where he was pronounced dead.Assisting at the scene was the New York State Police, Southern Cayuga Ambulance, Scipio Fire Department and Rural Metro Ambulance.
