The registration deadline for the annual Household Hazardous Waste, Electronics and Tire Collection Day has been extended to Friday, September 21st. Registration information can be found online at www.cceschuyler.org; at the Cooperative Extension Office in Montour Falls or by calling Extension at 535-7161. This program gives residents a change to properly dispose of waste materials that should not be disposed of with your regular garbage. Acceptable items include but are not limited to lawn fertilizers, pesticides, stains, oil-based paint, pool chemicals, old cleaners, electronics, car and truck tires. New to the program this year is confidential paper shredding on-site. All materials are free to dispose of with the exception of tires which are $1.50 off-rim and $2.00 on-rim. This program is only available to Schuyler County residents, no businesses please. For more information please call 535-7161. Space is limited, register today.
