The Canandaigua varsity football team moved to 2-0 on the season after defeating Brighton at home on Saturday afternoon by a score of 37-27.Nate Bellis had a heavy workload for the Braves carrying the ball 46 times and racking up 178 yards on the ground and two touchdowns. If that weren’t enough, Bellis added a 29 yard field goal and 7 tackles on the defensive side of the ball. Sean Condon added 8 tackles and Connor Moore recovered two fumbles on the afternoon.For Brighton (1-1). Devan Carter led the way with 165 yards on 24 carries and 3 touchdowns including a 51 yard scamper.
