Well over a thousand people attended Friday night’s Mynderse football game in Seneca Falls for the opening of the new Bracht Field. The Blue Devils didn’t disappoint and christened the new field turf facility with a 41-34 victory over Nichols, a Section 6 school out of Buffalo.Nichols was a replacement for DeSales who was originally slated to play Mynderse in week #2 but closed over the summer.Mynderse was led by Aaron Peterman’s 20 carries for 172 yards and 4 touchdowns including the first points scored on the new field, a 4 yard rush for paydirt in the first quarter.Quarterback Brandon Passalaqua had another strong performance for Mynderse with 77 yards on 12 carriers and a touchdown. Mike Millis added 85 yards on the ground as Mynderse held of a big second half push by Nichols.Mynderse moves to 2-0.
