On Wednesday August 22, 2012, The Geneva Police Department Drug Enforcement Unitarrested Bobby Lamont Clegg III after a several month long investigation into the sale of crackcocaine by Clegg in the City of Geneva. Mr. Clegg was charged with Criminal Sale of a ControlledSubstance 3rd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, a 3rd Degree Felony.During the arrest, Mr. Clegg was also found to be in possession of a substantial amount ofcrack and powder cocaine, and additionally was charged with Criminal Possession of a ControlledSubstance 3rd.(FELONY) U.S. Currency was also seized as the result of the investigation and arrest.The DEU ‘s investigation into the illegal sale and possession of narcotics within the City is continuousand more arrests are imminent.Geneva Chief of Police Trickler tells FingerLakes1.com, “This was an intensive Investigation that resulted in the arrest of a mid-level drug dealer with ties to New York City. The investigation is part of our continued effort to rid the drugs from our community and enhance the quality of life of our residents.”
