Child Safety Seat inspections in Seneca Co.

The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office announces two Child Safety Seat inspection events. The first will be on September 5th 2012, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Ovid fire house Located on Brown Street in the Village of Ovid The Second will be on September 15th 2012 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Seneca Falls Fire Department on East Bayard Street in the Town of Seneca Falls. During these Events all seats will be inspected to i n sure they are installed correctly, are safe and up to date and that they are the appropriate seats for the child. All seats that are determined not to be safe will be replaced. All seats are provided by a grant from the New York State Governors Traffic Safety Committee. Sheriff’s Investigators will be at both events doing Operation Safe Child ID’s. The Seneca Falls Police Department will be assisting at the event in the Town of Seneca Falls.
