Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on July 31st 2012 at 07:12 a.m. Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of 3967 County Road 143 in the Town of Covert for the report of a personal injury motor vehicle accident. Once on scene Sheriff’s Deputies determined that a vehicle, being operated by Jessie L. Anderson, age 24 of 126 Bank St. Newfield, NY. was traveling eastbound on County Road 143 and attempted to avoid a deer in the roadway. Anderson’s vehicle left the north side of the highway at which time it overturned into a cornfield. Anderson was transported by Trumansburg Ambulance to Cayuga Medical Center for treatment of back and leg pain. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by Trumansburg Fire Department and Ambulance.
