Rear-end crash at Bayard St. Ext. / Route 89

On July 28, 2012 at approximately 8:31PM, the Seneca Falls Police responded to a two car MVA at the intersection of East Bayard Street Extension and State Rte 89.While investigating the accident on scene, police spoke with the driver of the vehicle who was struck. The driver then stated that he was stopped at the stopped sign when the other vehicle struck his vehicle from behind. Police then spoke with the driver of the second vehicle, Zachary J. Marro, age 20 of 2814 Farron Road Seneca Falls, NY. While interviewing Marro, police learned that Marro was operating his vehicle with a suspended license. Police then administered field sobriety tests to Marro which he then failed. Marrow was then arrested and then transported to Geneva General Hospital for a blood draw. Marrow was then charged with DWI, DWAI Drug, AUO 3rd, Speed Not Reasonable, Following Too Close and Reckless Driving. Marrow was then arraigned at the Town of Seneca Falls Court in front of acting Justice Mattoon where he was then ROR’d. Marrow has to re-appear back at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on August 22, 2012 at 10:00AM. While officers were still on scene of the accident, police also arrested the passenger of Marro’s vehicle, Jacob Dixon, age 20 of 2551 Brewer Road Waterloo, NY. Dixon was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th and for not having a Controlled Substance in the Original Container. Dixon was released on Appearance Tickets and has to appear at the Town of Seneca Falls Court on August 2, 2012 at 10:00AM.
