Arrest after Waterloo home invasion, sex assault

On Thursday at 5:30 AM the Waterloo Village Police Department arrested Michael J. Foulkrod, age 43, of 4640 South Moon Trail, Port Orange, Florida following an investigation into a home invasion and sexual abuse earlier in the morning.At 02:37 AM, Waterloo Police responded to a West Main Street home for a report of a male subject who broke into a house and sexually abused a resident. A quick Identity of the suspect was obtained and with assistance from the Seneca Falls Town Police and Seneca County Sheriffs Department the suspect was located in Seneca Falls.Mr. Foulkrod was charged with Burglary 1st Degree a class “B” Felony, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree a class “D” Felony, Sexual Abuse 1st Degree a class “D” Felony and Unlawful Imprisonment 2nd Degree.Mr. Foulkrod allegedly entered the home of the victim who was sleeping at the time and allegedly had two Dagger type knifes on him that were later recovered in the home by Police. Mr. Foulkrod allegedly held the victim down and forcibly had sexual contact with the victim. Following a short struggle the victim was able to get away from the assailant and run for cover. Mr. Foulkrod allegedly tried searching the home for the victim and after not being able to locate the victim Mr. Foulkrod left the house and went to Seneca Falls.There were other occupants in the house during the invasion whom were awakened during the incident and were not injured.Mr. Foulkrod was arraigned in Waterloo Village Court and was sent to the Seneca County Jail on no Bail. Mr. Foulkrod is due back in Waterloo Village Court on July 18, 2012.An order of protection was issued for the victim and the other residence in the house.
