John Sandlas of Seneca Falls has been selected to represent the United States and the International Junior Golf Tour in the years Euro Junior Cup in St. Andrews, Scotland. The Euro Junior Golf Cup match play event, now in its 8th year, brings together three nations’ top 42 juniors in a competition between Team USA-International Junior Golf Tour (IJGT), Team Canada-Canadian JUnior Golf Association (CJGA) and Team Scotland-Fife Golf Association (FGA) in a triangular team match play tournament. Each squad consists of 14 players – 12 boys and 2 girls – who were selected based on their prominent golf resumes and rewarded for placing in various qualifying events amongst the three countries. The USA team leaves for Scotland on July 20th and the competition begins on July 25th on 3 different courses. The courses in rotation for this years competition are Scotscraig Golf Club, Drumoig Golf Hotel and Club and Leven Links Golf Course. The winning team will bring home the John Clark Trophy. Team USA will be staying at the famous St. Andrews University which is a short walk from The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews!John Sandlas is a member at Seneca Falls Country Club in Seneca Falls, NY.
