FL Pathway Home to hold benefit motorcycle run

Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes, a proposed comfort care facility for Seneca County, will host a benefit motorcycle “Pathway Ride” July 14. The ride will begin at Trader’s Village on Route 89, Romulus. Registration will be from 8:30-9:45 a.m. with the ride leaving at 10 a.m.“We will be touring through our beautiful county,” says Casey McDonald, ride organizer. “From a stop at the Three Bears in Ovid to a cruise along East Lake Road, we invite riders to celebrate the beauty of Seneca County while helping a great charity, Pathway Home.”Enjoy coffee, baked treats, fruit and water while talking with other bikers before the ride. A chicken BBQ at 89 Trader’s Village after the ride is included in the registration fee.The two hour ride through Seneca County will have stops at the Three Bears in Ovid and at Pathway Home on Marshall Road, Fayette. Riders will get a chance to meet board members and learn firsthand about the mission of Pathway. It’s all about bringing dignity and compassion to the final weeks of our loved one’s lives. Pre-registration tickets are $10 per rider, which includes refreshments before the ride and at the two stops, the chicken BBQ lunch, bake sale and entertainment by Usual Suspects of Ithaca following the ride at Traders Village. Chicken and bake sale will also be available at LaFayette Park, Waterloo. Tickets the day of the event are $12 for each rider..Pathway will be the first comfort care facility in Seneca County, a home where the terminally ill can have an active say in how their final weeks are spent. Pathway handles all the details of care and offers its services free of charge. This allows families to focus on making final days more meaningful and loving. “Fun music, great food, good company and a ride through our amazing county.
