What better way to get ready for your Fourth of July cookout than by coming to People’s Park for the Seneca Falls Farmers Market! Shop local and pick up fresh, delicious fruits and vegetables to serve at your Independence Day celebration. We have 15 vendors this season and most of them will be in the park from 9AM to 1:30PM on Wednesday, July 4th ready to help make your celebration a little tastier. Local peas, green and yellow beans, yellow squash, zucchini, beets, berries, greens of all kinds for a nice salad, tomatoes, breads, pies, cookies, cakes, meat for grilling, eggs, cut flowers for a pretty centerpiece, goat cheese, goat milk, goat yogurt, cow’s milk cheeses of various kinds, and a special 4th of July lunch. Make your menu with locally produced products and taste the difference fresh picked produce makes. As always all of our produce vendors will be accepting Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupons, available through the WIC Program and Office for the Aging for families and seniors 60 and over who meet the criteria. Also available will be the ability for food stamp participants to utilize their Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) cards to purchase qualifying items at the market. With a day off from work, it’s easier than ever to make it to the farmers market. You don’t have to wait until your lunch hour this week. Come early for the best selection and then get home to prepare all of the fresh items for afternoon parties. Remember, People’s Park in Seneca Falls is open on July 4th from 9AM to 1:30PM.
