Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident at the intersection of State Route 96 and Edwards Road in the Town of Waterloo at 7:28 am on June 13, 2012. A vehicle driven west by 30 year old Amy L. Lerkins of 5113 State Route 96 Romulus was waiting in traffic at the intersection when another vehicle driven west by 36 year old Elizabeth A. Boehnke of 46 Inslee Street Waterloo approached from behind and struck the Lerkins vehicle from behind. North Seneca Ambulance responded to the scene and treated Boehnke for back pain. Boehnke was then transported to Geneva General Hospital and treated for her injury. Lerkins and her passenger Timothy J. Lerkins age 36 of the same address complained of back and neck pain. They sought medical treatment on there own. Boehnke was issued a ticket for fail to reduce speed for special hazard and will have to appear in the Waterloo Town Court on July 5th 2012 at 5 p.m. State Police from Waterloo and Border City Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
