Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident on State Route 96 north of Yellow Tavern Road at 4:31 am on June 12, 2012. A vehicle driven by Mary J. Harris age 64 of 2494 State Route 336 Romulus was north bound when she lost control and left the east side of the roadway striking a mailbox. Harris then struck a ditch and over turned numerous times before the vehicle she was driving came to rest on the roof. Harris was trapped in her due to the seatbelt and was able to free herself. Harris was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance and transported to Geneva General Hospital for a minor hand injury. The vehicle was heavily damaged and towed from the scene. State Police assisted at the scene. No other vehicles were involve d and there were no tickets issued. The cause of the accident is still under investigation
