Newark used 10 runs over the final four innings to beat Watertown 12-6. Four players tallied at least three hits for the Pilots. Josh Perez (Mississippi College) who went 4-for-6 with two stolen bases and Sean Osterman (St. John Fisher), who went 3-for-5 with four RBI. Osterman belted a three-run homerun in a five-run eighth inning.Daniel Thorpe (St. Josephs (Pa.)) started for Newark and went seven innings, giving up just one run on three hits. On the other side, Ryan Dunn (Cal Poly Pomona) went six innings and gave up ten hits and four runs.The bullpen struggled four Watertown. Anthony Magovney (Buffalo), Cato LaCroix (Franklin Pierce) and Devante’ Taylor (Alcorn St.) combined to give up eight runs on ten hits in three innings.The Wizards tried to make it a game in the ninth. They scored four runs off five hits against Cullen Babin (Delta St.). Donald Walter (Cal Poly Pomona) led off the inning with a triple for Watertown. He finished the game 2-4 with a walk and a run scored.Sean Elliot (University of Indianapolis) came in relief of Babin and got the final two outs of the inning.
