Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that on June 5th at 8:07 a.m. Sheriff’s Deputies investigated a personal injury auto accident at the intersection of State Route 414 and County Road 148. A vehicle being driven south by Mark S. Jacobs age 46 of Alpine, NY collided with another vehicle that turned west in front of the Jacobs vehicle on to County Road 148. That vehicle was operated by 19 year old Kurtis R. Smith of 2633 Vineyard Road Romulus. After the collision Smith’s vehicle came to rest on its side in the ditch on the south west side of the road. South Seneca Ambulance responded to the scene and treated both occupants of Jacob’s vehicle. The passenger Jedediah E. Bradford age 24 of Odessa, NY suffered facial injuries. Jacobs complained of back pain. Romulus Volunteer Fire Department and New York State Po lice assisted at the scene as well. Smith, who was uninjured, was issued a traffic ticket to appear in Romulus Town Court for fail to yield the right of way. Both vehicles were heavily damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
