Seneca Meadows will be awarding eight $1000 awards to two graduating seniors from each of the four school districts in Seneca County at upcoming commencement ceremonies – Mynderse Academy, Romulus Central School, South Seneca Central School, and Waterloo Central School. The recipients will be selected by the respective school awards committees. The committees will choose two outstanding students who have chosen to further their education in environmental conservation, environmental science or other related fields of study. Academic achievement, citizenship, and extracurricular activities are considered in making the selections. This is the 9th year of the annual scholarship making it a total of $72,000 that Seneca Meadows will have awarded to students in Seneca County by the end of graduation season. Seneca Meadows plans to continue the scholarship in 2013.
