Deyo, Along with his writing duties for the Reading Eagle and Area Auto Racing News, began his involvement in racing 15+ years ago dating back to his coverage of an event at the Kauneonga Speedway, a paved quarter-mile track in White Lake, N.Y. Brett Then made his first endeavor into the world of motorsports promotion a decade ago with the Ed Strada Sr. Memorial event at the Lake Moc-A-Tek Speedway. Since then, Deyo’s brand of racing promotion has set the modified racing world on fire & fans into a state of racing induced bliss, assembling a veritable who’s-who of modified racers from New York, Canada, Delaware, Pennsylvania, wherever racer’s race modifieds. Offering good purse money, at driver & car owner friendly race tracks with with a zest for aggressive bonuses and contingencies Deyo is fast building a racing promotion in the way Billy The Kid (no, not that one) would gather a posse, riding through town fast, with guns-a-blazing. Here’s how the give-a-way contest will work. Via the Hall of Fame Facebook, fans will be able to view a photo trivia question to win 2 tickets to the Clash at the Can. Fans will send their answers to [email protected], or via private message on Facebook, then correct answers will be placed into a dirty old hat, shaken a bit, then one lucky fans name will be randomly selected as the winner. The “Driver (s) of the Week” will be a regular feature each and every Tuesday on the Facebook home for the Dirt Motorsports Hall of Fame & Classic Car Museum. For more information about Brett Deyo Motorsports Media Promotions go to: www.bdmotorsportsmedia.com OK, You Drive.New for the Dirt Motorsports Hall of Fame’s fan-driven Facebook page, two new weekly programs, where the fans get to call all of the shots, yet again. Fans asked for it, Fans got it, In the Hall of Fame’s new “Driver of the Week” program. Fans will submit their nomination’s weekly for their pick for “Driver of the week”, tell us why they feel their driver deserves the award for that week and those drivers will then featured on the Hall’s Facebook page. Also new, is the “The Hall of Fame: Instant Classic”. Yesterday’s first installment of this new and exciting fan-feature, was a focus on Bobby Varin’s miraculous win in the Victoria 200 event at the Utica Rome Speedway. Varin’s season at “The Action Track of the East” was off to an uncharacteristically slow start for the Sharon Springs speed merchant, and starting 14th, the prospects for changing his luck against a virtual “murderer’s row” of a starting lineup all gunning for the $10,000 top prize, weren’t looking so hot. Through a 79 lap green flag run to begin the 100 lap feature, Bobby and his Dover Brake 00 mount found their mean streak, seizing the lead from a more-than-game Jimmy Davis and never looking back, a physically and emotionally drained Varin, needed two tries to hoist the victor’s trophy aloft in victory lane, however, hoisting the $10,000 winners check, was done with the greatest of ease for the defending champ of the Victoria. Each & every Thursday we will highlight a fan nominated “Instant classic”, which can be culled by fans from an individual race, a special show/event or the efforts of an individual driver performance, the open nature of this will allow fans to determine what makes these moments in our racing history special to them, and tell other race fans about it. In the coming months, stay tuned to the Hall for more great promotions and fan driven content.
