Sheriff David Gould reports that the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office has made one arrest in connection with the vandalism which occurred last Halloween at Wells College President Lisa Ryerson’s home. Ryerson’s home was spray painted with vulgarities and her college owned vehicle was spray painted along with a window being broken out of it.Arrested and charged this date is Edward C. Abrego aka Chris Abrego age 20 of 358 Main St. Aurora, N.Y. Abrego was a student at the college at the time the crime was committed. Abrego has been charged with two felony counts of Criminal Mischief in the Third Degree. He was arraigned in the Town of Brutus Court and remanded to the Cayuga County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. A second participant in the crime has been identified and an arrest is forthcoming.
