Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports, Deputies responded to a single engine plane crash in a field on the corner of State Route 318 and Gravel Rd in the Town of Tyre. The aircraft, a 2000 Replica of a 1928 Travel Bi-Plane was being operated by a Vaughn L Grasso, age 68, of 1701 Maytown Rd, Oakhill Florida had to make a emergency landing after it suddenly lost power during flight. Grasso suffered a laceration to the back of his head and was treated and released at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance with assistance from the Magee Fire Department. The Federal Aviation Administration was notified and is investigating the cause of the crash.
