5 arrests for prescription drug sale in Seneca Co.

Seneca County Sheriff Jack S. Stenberg announced today the culmination of a series of arrests that took place this week which focused on the sale of prescription drugs. The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics and Uniform Division arrested five people in connection with an investigation into sales of prescription drugs in the Seneca County. Arrested this week were the following:(1) Jessica M. Sullinger, 28, of 65 Church Street, Apt. A, Waterloo, New York CHARGES: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree – Class D Felony, Unlawful Possession of Marihuana. It is alleged that Sullinger sold a quantity of Xanax to another person and was in possession of marihuana. Sullinger was arraigned in the Waterloo Village Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail/$2,000 secured bond. Sullinger is to reappear in the Waterloo Village Court on May 21, 2012 at 10am. (2) Jeffrey P. Arnold, 35, of 1 Center Street Apt. 4, Waterloo, New York CHARGES: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree – Class C Felony. It is alleged that Arnold sold a quantity of Vicodin to anot h er person. Arnold was arraigned in the Waterloo Village Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on no bail. Arnold is to reappear in the Waterloo Village Court on May 21, 2012 at 10:30am. (3) Lori J. Roof, 44, of 1640 Powderly Road, Lot 6, Waterloo, New York.CHARGES: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the third degree, (three counts) – Class B Felonies and Criminal Poss e ssion of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree – Class A Misdemeanor. It is alleged that Roof sold Fentanyl patches on three different occasions. Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant her residence and discovered four illegally possessed prescriptions and a quantity of marihuana. At the time of her arrest, Roof was also wanted on an active bench warrant out of the Seneca Falls Town Court and was subsequently arrested on the warrant. Roof was arraigned in the Waterloo Village Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $1,000 cash bail/$2,000 secured bond. Roof is to reappear in the Waterloo Town Court on June 14, 2012 at 5pm. (4) Jayson C. Delpapa, 27, of 288 Gravel Road, Seneca Falls, New York CHARGES: &nbs p ; Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree (two counts) – Class C Felonies. It is alleged that Delpapa sold a quantity of Suboxone on two different occasions. Delpapa currently on New York State Parole was also arrested on a Violation of Parole warrant. Delpapa was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 secured bond on the drug sale charges and remanded to the Correctional Facility on no bail due to the violation of parole. Delpapa is to reappear in the Seneca Falls Town Court on May 23, 2012 at 9am.(5) Edward J. Roma, 31, of 2022 Balsey Road, Apt. 204, Seneca Falls, New York. CHARGES: Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (2 counts), Class B Felonies, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree (two counts) – Class B Felonies. It is alleged that Roma sold a quantity of Morphine on two different occasions. At the time of the arrest, Roma was wanted on an active bench warrant out of the Seneca Falls Town Court for Violation of a Conditional Discharge. Roma was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility on $5,000 cash bail/$10,000 secured bond on the drug sale charges and remanded to the Correctional Facility on no bail due to the violation of conditional discharge . Roma is to reappear in the Seneca Falls Town Court on May 21, 2012 at 1pm. “These arrests represent a growing trend nationwide where drugs prescribed legally are being converted and sold on the street,” said Sheriff Stenberg. “According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention prescription drug abuse is a nationwide epidemic. We are committed to arresting those persons dealing prescription drugs on the street and those who possess them with intent to sell these lawfully prescribed drugs” continued Sheriff Stenberg. Sheriff’s Investigators were assisted in making the arrests by the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team, New York State Parole, Waterloo Police and Seneca Falls Department.
