On May 8th, 2012 approximately 3:37 pm, Seneca Falls Police Department responded to State Rte 414 near Lott’s Farm for the report of a two car personal injury motor vehicle accident. The first vehicle involved was a commercial vehicle being operated by Jason Caruso, age 34 of 200 Jackson Road, Frankfort, NY 13340. The second vehicle involved was being operated by Christopher Rice, age 32 of 5488 Rte 96 Lot 2 Romulus, NY 14141. There were several passengers in Rice’s vehicle. The front passenger of Rice’s vehicle, Kimberly Westfall had to be extricated from the vehicle by the Seneca Falls Fire Department. Westfall was transported to Geneva General for treatment and was later released. All other passengers were treated and released at the scene. Rice’s vehicle sustained major damage and had to be towed from the scene. The Seneca Falls Police Department was assisted by the Seneca County Sheriff Department, NYS Park Police and South Seneca Ambulance and North Seneca Ambulance. Rice wasissued three citations for: Following to Close, Un-inspected trailer and Improper plates. Rice is to appear in the Town of Seneca Falls Court on May 24th, 2012 at 10 am to answer the charges.
