The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports that Deputies responded to a PIMVA on Mills Rd., in the Town of Waterloo. Deputies report that Ralph Poormon, age 85, of 1476 Grange Hall Rd., Phelps, NY was traveling south on Mills Rd., when he left the east side of the roadway, striking a utility pole. Poormon suffered lacerations to his head and complained of chest pain and was treated at the scene by North Seneca Ambulance. Poormon was airlifted by Mercy Flight where he was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for his injuries. NYSGE responded to the scene to replace the damaged utility pole. Deputies where assisted at the scene by NYSP and Magee FD. Poormon’s vehicle was demolished and towed from the scene. The cause of the accident is unknown and may have been a medical situation.
