Seneca Falls Police arrested Erin Christ, age 33, of 708 Lexington Avenue, Zanesville, OH following a motor vehicle chase that began on Cayuga Street. Christ was initially stopped for speeding at 11:27pm and during the roadside interview Christ refused to provide the officer with her drivers license and sped away at 11:29pm.Christ continued eastbound on St Rt 5 at a high rate of speed passing vehicles and into Cayuga County where she eventually yielded to a roadbock west of the Finger Lakes Mall and taken into custody without further incident. Seneca Falls Police were assisted by members of the Seneca Co Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police and Cayuga Co Sheriff’s Office.Christ was charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in the 3rd Degree (misd), Reckless Driving (misd), Speed in Zone (3cts), Failure to Yield to an Emergency Vehicle, Following Too Closely, Failure to Comply with Lawful Order, Drove Left of Pavement Markings, Failure to Keep Right and Unreasonable Speed. Christ was arraigned in Waterloo Village Court by Judge Barto and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash/$50,000 bond and is to reappear in Seneca Falls Town Court on May10th, 2012.
