Pathway Home, a comfort care home in the planning stages for Seneca County, has announced two fundraising events, one in July and the second in November.The Pathway Home summer event will be a motorcycle Ride for Comfort and take place July 14. The ride will begin at Lowe’s in Border City (Waterloo), go to Ovid and return to Dewey’s Party House on Auburn Road, Seneca Falls. The ride will be followed by a BBQ provided by Dewey’s, with music provided by Agonal Rhythm. Tickets will be available for the ride and BBQ or the BBQ only through Pathway’s website, www.pathwayhome.org.The first Pathway Home Gala is planned for Nov. 3 at New York Chiropractic College, Seneca Falls. The evening will start at 6 p.m. with a cabaret performance by Casey Max and Rebecca Colleen and the Chore Lads in the Delavan Theater. Following the performance, there will be cocktails and dinner catered by Flavours by Sodexo at New York Chiropractic College. The evening will continue with a silent auction and dancing with the Ageless Jazz Band, an 18 piece jazz orchestra from Ithaca, until 11 p.m. Tickets for the five hour event will be available for $150 per person or $250 per couple.All proceeds from both events will benefit Pathway Home, located at 1350 Marshall Road, Waterloo (Fayette). Pathway Home will be a two bed comfort care home providing end of life care. The goal is to raise $300,000 to renovate the building and cover the first year’s operating expenses.
