The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports on March 22, 2012 Sheriff Deputies responded to the Willard Wildlife Management Area Access Rd in Ovid for a one car personal injury motor vehicle accident. A 1997 Ford Crown Victoria being operated by Brandon D Casey, age 18 of 2134 Water St Ovid was westbound on the Wildlife Access Rd when Casey lost control of the vehicle causing it to go off the roadway and strike several small trees. There were five other occupants in the vehicle, Cayli L Casey age 14 also of 2134 Water St Ovid, Kiya J Woodard age 15 of 2782 County Rd 139 Ovid, Hunter D Smith age 14 of 6797 County Rd 129 Romulus, and Matthew J Soda age 20 and Cheli E Austin age 14 both of 2146 West Seneca St Ovid. The driver Brandon Case y as well as passengers Cayli Casey and Cheli Austin were transported to Geneva General Hospital for possible head and neck injuries. Passenger Kiya Woodard was transported to Cayuga Medical Center for possible head and neck injuries. Brandon Casey was issued citations for Speed not Reasonable and Prudent, Unlicensed Operator and was also charged with 4 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a child. Matthew Soda was issued a citation for permitting unlicensed operation. Both are scheduled to appear at the Ovid Town Court on April 17, 2012. Also assisting at the scene was the Ovid Fire Dept, South Seneca Ambulance and North Seneca Ambulance.
