Waterloo Police Department arrested two Waterloo males on 3/16/12 following an investigation into two commercial burglaries that occurred on 3/12/12 around 0145hrs on West Main Street.Brian K. Austin, age 25, and Nicholas J. Genaro, age 19, both residing at 890 Wat-Gen Rd, Lot 17, Waterloo, were both charged with two counts of Burglary 3rd degree, Criminal Mischief 4th degree, and Petit Larceny.Austin and Genaro forced entry into the rear of a business at 20 W. Main St and then realized they entered the wrong building. They then forced entry into the rear of 18 W. Main St, the Jennings Outlet Store, where they forced open the safe and stole the cash drawer and other items.Austin and Genaro were arraigned in Waterloo Village Court and sent to SCCF on $5,000/$10,000 bail each. Genaro is also on probation for burglary at the this time.Waterloo Police were assisted in the investigation and arrest by members of NYSP-Waterloo, S.C. Sheriff’s Dept, and S.C. Probation.
