Seneca Falls man found dead under motorcycle on 5 & 20

The Seneca Falls Police Department is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred at 2180 State Route 5 and 20 Seneca Falls. While officers were at the above address investigating a property damage accident, a body unrelated to the property damage accident was discovered on the embankment along with a Harley Davidson motorcycle. The victim was, Charles J. Nelson age 62 of 1669 Auburn Rd Seneca Falls, NY was located underneath the motorcycle which was registered to the victim. Nelson was pronounced dead at the scene by the Seneca County Coroner’s Office. The cause of the accident is unknown at this time. Seneca Falls Police were assisted at the scene by Seneca County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Seneca County District Attorney’s Office and the Seneca Falls Fire Department. Investigation is still ongoing.
