Seneca County Sheriff Investigators arrested Matthew McGlaughlin, age 23 and Sean Stevens, age 23, of Ovid, NY. McGlaughlin and Stevens were charged with Burglary in the Third Degree (class D felony) and Grand Larceny in the Fourth Degree (class E felony). It is alleged McGlaughin and Stevens stole property from a house and surrounding property in the Town of Covert which had been damaged by fire months earlier. The stolen items were sold at a scrapyard for cash. McLaughlin and Stevens were arraigned in the Town of Lodi Court and remanded to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500.00 cash bail/ $5,000.00 secured bond. Both are scheduled to re- appear in court on 03/15/11 to answer the charges.
