Friday night at Blue Cross Arena in Rochester featured a slate of Section V championship games for the Class C teams in the Wayne-Finger Lakes leagues with East Rochester, Lyons, and Honeoye competing for a Sectional title in Classes C1, C2, & C3 respectively.CLASS C1#1 East Rochester 51, #3 Pembroke 39East Rochester trailed by 3 points at halftime but rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Pembroke 17-7 in the third quarter to pull away and capture the Section V Class C1 Championship. ER forced 19 turnovers and was led by Nick Nadeau’s 19 points and Miles Boyer’s 12 points and 8 rebounds.CLASS C2#2 Cuba-Rushford 54 #1 Lyons 51 In the Section V Class C2 Championship game Friday night at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, #2 seeded Cuba-Rushford edged #1 seeded Lyons 54-51 to end the Wayne County League champion’s season.In his final game for Lyons, senior point guard Derick Fera led the Lions with 16 points. Tre’ Johnson added 13 points and 9 rebounds and Mareese Wells scored 11. Cuba-Rushford was led by Taylor Rose’s 15 points and 10 rebounds.CLASS C3#1 York 60, #3 Honeoye 50Ben Cratsley’s 36 points weren’t enough for Honeoye who dropped the Class C3 Championship game to #1 seeded York on Friday night at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester. Honeoye shot just 34% from the field.
