We have just received the following information from the Gorham Town Supervisor, Fred Lightfoote:Due to the thousands of calls and emails he has received from you and other concerned animal advocates, at tomorrow night’s town council meeting Lightfoote will be recommending that the board place a moratorium on the construction of dog breeding facilities in the city limits; the board will then vote. Right now, he is unsure how a moratorium will affect this current proposed facility, but the town’s attorney is already looking at that issue.Since so many people are expected to attend the meeting, the location has been moved to the Gorham Elementary School. The meeting will begin at 7:30 pm.
