The Waterloo Police Department arrested Joshua J. Haws age 41 of 41 Fayette Street Waterloo, NY 13165 for Aggravated DWI, 2 counts ofHarassment in the second degree and 2 counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. It is alleged that Haws was involved in a physical domestic involving his girlfriend and her son. Prior to the police’s arrival, Haws fled the scene with his 11 year old daughter in the vehicle with him. During the investigation of the incident, Haws returned to the scene and was found in an intoxicated state. Haws was charged with 2 counts of Harassment 2nd and 1 count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child for the domestic violence incident. Haws was charged with the Aggravated DWI for driving a motor vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08% or Higher with a child in the vehicle and 1 count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Haws was arraigned in the Village of Waterloo Court before Judge Barto where he was committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1500 cash bail or $3000 secured bond. A Stay Away Order of Protection was issued on behalf of the victim and her son. Haws is scheduled to appear in Village of Waterloo Court of January 5, 2012 at 10:30 AM to answer the charges.
